In December and
January, Neil Finn (Crowded House) reunited with the core
band from his 2001 Seven Worlds Collide project with additional
special guests to create a new album at Roundhead studios in
Auckland, New Zealand. Guests included Radiohead’s
Phil Selway and Ed O’Brien, guitarist Johnny Marr, Soul
Coughing’s
Sebastian Steinberg, Lisa Germano, Wilco members Jeff Tweedy,
John Stirratt, Glenn Kotche and Pat Sansone, KT Tunstall, as
well as NZ musicians Liam Finn, Don McGlashan and Bic Runga.
All proceeds from this recording will go to support Oxfam International.
While recording, the group also performed a couple of casual
and intimate live performances at The Powerstation, Mt
Eden Road, Auckland, NZ. |
