Wilco unplugged at Solid Sound

Solid Sound festivalgoers are in for a unique experience on Friday, June 26. For the first time ever, Wilco will perform a full acoustic set. Though the band has included short acoustic encores on its last tour, they’ll be flipping the script Friday, playing an unplugged set with an electric encore.

“Right now we’re thinking about playing somewhat mirrored sets on Friday and Saturday nights – on Friday, the main set will be stripped down and acoustic and the encores will be electric,” Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy said. “On Saturday we’ll flip it. Start big and loud and finish acoustically. We’ll see how it goes. It’ll be a bit of an experiment, but the Solid Sound audience is usually game for whatever we throw at them.”

Three-day passes and single-day tickets still remain for the Wilco curated festival at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA on June 26-28, with fewer than 250 Saturday day passes left.
